BIG BROTHER AFRICA S9 POSTPONED DUE TO FIRE INCIDENT.
The annual reality show Big Brother Africa which is in its 9th season has been postponed due to the fire incident that gutted the big brother Africa house.
This year's edition was scheduled to commence on Sunday 7 September, but has now been postponed indefinitely.
No one was injured in the fire which engulfed the house at the sesani studios at Highland north of Johannesburg, South Africa.
The cause of the fire is still unknown which has made the production crew postpone the show.
After battling the blaze, M-Net, Endemol SA say that
"Due to a devastating fire at D Big Brother house, Big Brother Hotshots will not launch this Sunday as scheduled"
"The cause of the fire at this stage is unknown and investigations will commence as soon as it is safe to do so."
"At this stage M-Net nd Endemol are urgently looking for an alternative Big Brother house in which to film the production ,however as this production has highly technical infrastructure, camera and edit requirements an alternative is not immediately available. Every effort will be made to find a solution as quickly as possible to ensure that Africa’s biggest reality show will continue.
